He thought about this, and fell into a deep slumber, while his heart knew what he wanted, he dreamed of what he wanted to happen. He wants to be close to her, to his soul mate, to the one his heartbeats for.THE NEXT DAYVincent came in early, and as the usual time. Amie, came to school early like she always do. But, not today, Vincent has taken her place.“hi, your early today. Nice morning don’t you think?” he said this trying to make the mood easy. But, she had just replied coldly at him.“its not knew for me to come to school early you know, and yeah. I guess today is a fine morning I hope.” Her voice seemed cold, and her eyes would not stare at his face. It seemed as if she was trying to avoid him. Desperate for her attention, Vincent tried to make her laugh, trying to reach the chalk board eraser that was stuck on top of the black board. He was close enough when, it fell on top of him, at first he felt stupid and embarrassed when all of a sudden he heard her laugh. It sounded like music to his ear that made him smile. “you know, your clumsy. But, funny…”she said while trying hard to stop laughing. Vincent smiled as he tried his best cleaning himself up. “so does this mean were friends now?” he asked eagerly. Amie replied, with a smile on her face. “yeah, we can be friends now. Haahhahah…I still think that was funny…”she said still trying hard not to laugh more. but, then fate seemed to be at their side, they had an hour to spend just for the two of them while they wait for the rest of the class to arrive. It was something Vincent could say, a memorable day.Sister and brotherly loveAn ordinary day, seemingly peaceful and happy everyone enjoys a day off on a Saturday afternoon. After a whole week of hard work, lorein took the opportunity to go back to school and get her novel titled scarlet letter that she wanted to finish before she was to return the book to the library. On her way home, it was around seven in the evening. Thinking it was best to take a short cut in the alley, to her dorm she went though it without even aware of the danger that was about to happen to her. a drunken man was smoking while he sat down on a stump. He caught a glimpse of lorein and act as if she wasn’t there and waited her to walk right in front of him. the minute she did, the man stood up quickly and held her by the waist and covered her lips. Lorein manage to scream a little of her voice before she was drag into the dark. She started to sob while the drunken man started kissing her, as she struggled hard to stop him from harassing her and taking away her virginity. He was stripping her clothes fast when all of a sudden she heard a loud bang from behind the man. Her vision was in blur, she could only see nothing but light and fainted. She was safe now. The minute she woke up, she had found herself lying down on her bed, and back to her dorm. She was wearing now her pajamas. The landlady came in and gave her a warm glass of milk and bread, as she turned around to the door and called out the young man who had saved her. “Don’t worry lorein, your safe now. Here’s the young man who saved you…be good and thank him. I was shock when he carried you all the way here, you were half naked but, and you don’t need to worry. I was the one who changed your clothes. I leave you two then…” she said to lorein in an assuring voice. The young man who had just entered the room, made lorein cry, it was Christopher. It was his silhouette that she saw before she lost her consciousness. He bend down and hugged her gently, he smiled and at her. “don’t worry…your fine now…sssshhhh….so please…don’t cry now…”he said assuring her. lorein stopped crying and felt how happy she was and lucky that she met someone who was as kind as Christopher. After that night, lorein and Christopher became much more close than before, like two pea’s in a pod, a brother and sisterly love was born that night.The princess, the protector and the loverJulia and the others heard what happen, and everyone tried their best to cheer lorein up, and make her smile. The week passed by so fast that it was already Friday afternoon. But, then again, it must have went too fast that the calendar had just placed valentines day next on the list. Julia thought it was best to go back to class and think of a great gift to give her friends on valentines day. On her way across the outside court, she was un aware of the fast ball that was about to hit her when all of a sudden vahn had hugged her away in time. Mark, saw it too, but was to late that by the time he arrived at the spot the ball had hit him straight at the face.Temper arise when young love begins to blossom, when things don’t go the way you want it to be…-Vanh stood up and carried Julia back to the bench, and asked her if she was alright. Blushing like the ripest tomatoes in the field. She nod her head and smiled shaking while trying her best to tell him just one word. But, no words would come out of her that made vahn agree that she was ok. Since it was enough to see her nod for a yes. Steam blew out of mark, his temper and heartbeat was rising so high, he was jealous, he was out run. But, then he just realized that Julia does not belong to her. He feels the competition from vahn, that when Julia tried to ask if he was ok, he did not even hear what she had just said. Vahn, on the other hand was amused since, he found mark childish about his feelings. That he never thought about the possibilities why he was protection Julia.This would happen often when ever Julia gets into silly little dangers like falling from the stairway or nearly slipping down because of her clumsiness. Lorein, Amie, vince and Christopher would find this amusing enough to watch than going into comedy bars, that it cannot be helped when they burst out laughing in front of mark all of a sudden the next day or when ever his around. often times, vince would always get a punch from mark, for laughing to much while staring at him. because it made him feel that Vincent was really laughing because of him. Julia, would sometimes get in the mood of laughing because of vincent’s ridiculous laughter.The beginning and the endingIts so much for everyone after a tiresome February, finally march came and the last month of the school year , has just started its count down to a closing.One peaceful Friday afternoon, after class at Mcdonalds Julia and the rest of the gang met up in a one day gathering to celebrate reaching the years end in one piece and for new allies, friends and relationships. The food wasn’t much of a feast, there wear 6 coke/6 ice tea, 12 hamburgers,3 large French fries all poured in the middle and some ketchup for everyone to dip, plus 12 sundae fudge ice scream. They all gave a toast for the new found friendship, and surprisingly another guess came in reserve area. Julia beamed like she had just seen a star walk right through the door. It was none other than vahn himself. Everyone fell silent for a while. Although it was not in vahn’s nature to crack up a nice joke, It was more of a surprise to see him smile, and kid around.“geeze, come on guys! Doesn’t happen every time… so am I still invited?” he asked politely. While mark had tried to stand up and shout, but, lorein grabbed hold of his hand and smiled as she whispered in his ear. “this is important for Julia…that everyone of us are here…here with her…because…we…we are her dearest friends…so please…don’t be the one to make her cry and sad..” it struck his heart and stayed there for little while. Mark, was sure he wanted to bad ass vahn, but, those words that lorein had just said, he knew he didn’t want to be Julia’s cause of sadness.Everything went according to plan, while everybody enjoys life as if it had just begun something new. The other sides of the story are drawing to a close.While the other sideIn a far away place like cavite, two people find their own way of handling the sadness, and their struggle to escape through reality. Joshua mariz R. parlijo a.k.a chaos were busy taking care of his band, for the upcoming battle. So they took all the time they have during their spare hours to practice, and trying to complete his requirements at school. When a friend of his told his first love how much he loved her. he tried to get away but, instead he end up getting hurt, because that girl had someone else she liked most. The practice was over, it was like he had to find some quality time and space, chaos entered a computer shop, found a few of his friends and dueled against them on a computer online battle game. Everything was just fine, when he got bored and decided to check on his friendster, he found a certain name and decided he wanted to make friends. But, little did that made him feel, it was the start of something new in his life.While, this happens…at the other end of the townRunning can make you feel safeBut it can never find the way of real peaceYour heartbeats fastyour afraid and tried hard to escapeBut life is cruelYou can runBut you can never hideFace it and don’t ever look back after the challenge has been doneRhiana marie F. cielo hid inside her room, while her parents continued fighting over her dad’s unbearable womanizing. But, no matter what they did, it did not do anything good for the family. Everything was in deep darkness, rhiana could only hope for a light and prayer, as she fell asleep while her tears kept on falling.Life goes on and on even with or without us, as this story further deepens we find reality confusing when its at its best and worst time. So we resort to all kinds of form of escaping the pain. But, we should always remember, that life itself is just a temporary place, were we live life, make friends, serve a purpose and find its meaning.
